Forgive and Forget?

Constantly telling someone what they are not does not boost their morale, it lowers their self-esteem. That saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones; but names will never hurt me” - names do hurt and can go deep in our hearts that linger too long in most of us until we get to know Jesus!

Sticks and stones do break your bones and can even kill you, but so do words - they don’t physically kill you; but they kill you emotionally and spiritually!

When we are a born again Christians, we die to self and are resurrected in Christ as a new creature that puts our broken spirit back together little by little, which translates from Glory to Glory!

Wonders happen through small steps; not leaps and bounds!  (Words of Wisdom from The Holy Spirit)

Now I’m going to advise those who are reading this and are parents, assess your childhood and how your parents made you feel (Good or bad) and truly listen to your words when you correct your child and become angry with them! What was instilled in you comes out and it is a viscous cycle of more broken spirits and a low self esteem generation!

Now I am going to ask you to do what Jesus commands us to do and that is forgive those who hurt you and pray for those who curse you so that He can forgive you of your sins and you can live with a heart that is full of righteous doing, saying and living! Whereas, if you do not forgive, you are tied emotionally to that person from the hurt and pain. That’s why Jesus tells us to forgive so you have freedom from it and and you can show love instead of anger and resentment to others!

Matthew 6:14-15 AMPC

14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.

Forgiveness is healing and makes for a glad heart and a healthy being!
