Divine Energy!

How many of you are familiar with the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan? If you have not had a chance to watch his show, I recommend you watch at least one episode.

I love dogs and enjoy the show, but what inspires me the most is his spiritual gift of discovering the animals’ response, not by commands, but by the owner’s emotions and energy. That is profound to me; however, it makes perfect sense also.

Since I’ve been watching the show, I started watching humans and how they portray negative or positive energy in their own household. Our energy determines how we can disrupt our household or create peace. If we are constantly in a hurry, we become frustrated easily, we make mistakes often, and then anger, self pity, and defeat surfaces. Yep, we are defeated because we give in and give up ~ you say things like, “That’s it, I quit. No one ever listens to me around here”!

Take a good look at how you respond the next time your child spills something or talks back. Do you discipline them by shouting and hitting or do you give them a firm command, “Clean it up” or “Be Quiet”! For example: My children have talked back or tried to and I cut if off quick with a firm response of, “aught”, I’m still talking”! They immediately got quiet and listened. When I was through, they were able to speak, but with respect. I took control, not them and the situation did not escalate into chaos!

We create positive or negative energy by how we think and respond. If you are not calm or disciplined in your thoughts, you will not be calm or disciplined in your actions.  


But I say: Don’t make any vows! And even to say ‘By heavens!’ is a sacred vow to God, for the heavens are God’s throne. And if you say ‘By the earth!’ it is a sacred vow, for the earth is his footstool. And don’t swear ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the capital of the great King. Don’t even swear ‘By my head!’ for you can’t turn one hair white or black. Say just a simple ‘Yes, I will’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Your word is enough. To strengthen your promise with a vow shows that something is wrong. Matthew 5:34-37 TLB

Speak No Evil!

Some things are better left unsaid!

If anyone can control his tongue, it proves that he has perfect control over himself in every other way. We can make a large horse turn around and go wherever we want by means of a small bit in his mouth. And a tiny rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot wants it to go, even though the winds are strong.

So also the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do. A great forest can be set on fire by one tiny spark. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is full of wickedness, and poisons every part of the body. And the tongue is set on fire by hell itself and can turn our whole lives into a blazing flame of destruction and disaster. James 3:2-6 TLB

I know I have opened up my mouth many times and the wrong thing has come out or I reacted out of anger and made a fool of myself! So with that said, speak less, listen more, and pray before we attempt to say anything that will cause sparks to fly!

We're Lost in a Masquerade!

We dress our little girls as if they were sixteen years old and call it cute. We dress out sixteen year old as though they were twenty-one and call it sexy. When our daughters turn twenty-one they dress provocative, get approached by men, some get raped, and many lack knowledge and confidence of who and what they really are!

Our responsibility to our daughters is to raise them as well respected young ladies who will give respect as well as receive it. To dress age appropriately starts first within. How do you dress your daughter at age 7? How do you dress your daughter at age 12? How do you dress your daughter at age 16? 

Are they dressed with intelligence? Are they dressed with faith in God? Are they dressed with manners? Are they dressed with acceptance? Are they dressed with confidence~ knowing that once the good seed is planted within them, it will blossom into a beautiful, confident, secure flower, who knows at the age of 21, she is dressed to make a difference in this world from the beauty within ~ not with the mask we put on to hide behind!

Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.

But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s approval. Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God.
