Our heart is something we all need to guard, for out of it flows the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23) Yes, it has a purpose and a job for our bodies, which is to keep blood flowing throughout the body, send oxygen to your cells, and get rid of waste; and it is the main organ of the body.
It is a mystery to Satan what is in our hearts, because that is one place he cannot enter, nor does he have access to. Once baptized, the Holy Ghost is gifted to us so that we will have His spirit with us wherever we go. That gift keeps you safe and growing in spirit and in truth by daily reading scripture.
Why is it necessary for you to guard your heart? Remember, out of your heart flows the issues of life, and spoken words can harm you or heal you - words such as, "I am so stupid, or I am losing my mind, or every time I turn around something bad happens." Satan says, "Oh I can take care of that." Idle words are useless in the Kingdom and are sent out into the universe for him to grab hold of and give you your heart's desires.
When you Speak Yahweh’s words, Satan can’t harm you. Words such as, “Yahweh loves me or He said I am beautifully and wonderfully made, or I have the mind of Christ or riches and wealth are in my house.” (All of these words are in the Bible) Angels hearken unto the Word of Yahweh and also give you your heart's desires. So start speaking words that bring good treasures because it will also bring joy and peace into your life.
Luke 6:45 Ethiopian Bible
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
I write this because until we turn to Yahweh, Satan is having his way. He knows many of us are blind to the power of Yahweh, or do not take time daily to read scripture and pray. People can hide behind kindness, and still have a hard heart by what comes out of their mouth.
As it says in Colossians 3:17 - 17 And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
What Defiles a Person
Matthew 15:10-20 ESV
10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” 12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” 13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” 15 But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” 16 And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”
