Loving Yahweh Under Trials

James 1:12 Ethiopian Bible

12 Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which Yahweh has promised to them that love him.

Temptations and test come every day of our lives. We know about the obvious in this world - drinking, drugs, sex before marriage, over eating etc. however, could any of us endure what Job endured, who was a righteous man that loved Yahweh?

Job’s ten children died when a strong wind collapsed the house they were having a party in, his seven thousand sheep were killed by fire, his three thousand camels, five thousand oxen, and five hundred donkeys were stolen, his servants were killed by the Sabeans and Chaldeans, and his close friends accused him of being a liar, a fool, an evil man……….pretty much saying, “That’s what you get for being cruel to others.” In addition, he was afflicted with sores that left him unrecognizable for a long time. Job’s wife even turned against him and told him to curse God and die. This was Job’s response,

“15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain my own ways before him.” (Job 13:15).

Satan could not tempt Job even though he severely oppressed him.  Job understood that Yahweh is faithful, trustworthy, loving, keeps His promises, and will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.  Read the Book of Job in your quiet time to find out, in the end, Yahweh blessed Job with twice as more wealth than before, with good health, ten more children and many grandchildren to four generations.

Please write this in your journal “Temptations come from Satan ONLY! “

Who Are You Serving At Your House?

We are still talking about racism, but NO ONE is talking about the TRUE “thing” or who is behind it all. The truth is, ALL of this separation and division, hate and killing, oppression and violence, bigotry and hypocrisy, cussing and anger, etc. ALL comes from Satan and it is DEMONIC. It is his whole purpose to separate and divide. When we are divided we are weak and vulnerable.

If you have these characteristics whether you are white, black, or in between it is “sin.” Nothing good comes from sin, nor is it peaceful. EVERYONE who practices these evil deeds have sold their soul to Satan; and live in darkness. He comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), and does it well. If you will recall in Matthew 4:8-10 Ethiopian Bible when Emmanuel was tempted 40 days by Satan in the wilderness. It reads:

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”

Ephesians 6:12 Ethiopian Bible

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan has power and is in high places to do great harm. First, Satan does not own all this glory and splendor and second, he is a master of deception. Some are unaware because they are not saved and do not know the Word. Many have chosen to serve Satan, which is why they believe their riches and material things give them power to oppress and impress others of their wealth - and it is at the expense of the poor, outcast, and anyone they feel is beneath them. The sad thing is, this has been going on for more than 400 years. If you read your scripture, it has been like this from the beginning of creation of man.

When you pass down hate and oppression in your homes, churches, and communities, you do not serve Yahweh, you serve Satan. It clearly tells us in Matthew 6:24:

"No man can server two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
It will benefit all of us to read and study the Bible. However be mindful that as you read the Word, you will receive peace, love, joy, healing, wisdom, grace, mercy, good conversations (without cussing), redemption, forgiveness, a friend that sticks closer than a brother who will NEVER leave you nor forsake you, and a renewed spirit who wants to live righteous and love his neighbor. Which is the second most important commandment.

This 👇is the First Commandment:

Mark 12:29-30 Ethiopian Bible

29 And Emmanuel answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; Yahweh our God is one Yahweh:

30 And you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.

Love is an action not a feeling. When you give to someone who is not deserving, forgive someone who has deeply hurt you, and be kind to someone you don't know, this is acts of love - and “Love” covers a multitude of “sins”. (I Peter 4:8)

Joshua 24:15 Ethiopian Bible

And if it seem evil unto you to serve Yahweh, you choose this day who you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.
